IWRFC 15 Bognor 29
The Island, in their first home league game of the season, faced the difficult opposition of visiting Bognor. With changes forced on the team, the home side were first to register a score with a Harry Dye 40 metre penalty.

Eventually, time ran out on IW’s efforts to gain at least a bonus point.
The second half performance showed what the Islanders can produce when focussed and must be used as a stepping stone to future games. Rouse Intelligent Financial Planning man of the Match went to Neil Brading.
Next week the Island travel to Fordingbridge for another tough league test.
