Ian Browne

Currently deployed in the Gulf doing secret things he is not allowed to tell us about, Ian is enjoying his role as Chief Petty Officer aboard HMS Lancaster. He fills his days with jolly japes with ‘the boys’ and by rearranging his spanner drawer. Ian has played rugby for the Isle of Wight for years apart from the inconvenient breaks in which he is sent away to war (a letter to the Queen asking for this to stop recieved short shrift). Disappointed to find there was no room to play rugby on board ship, Ian was excited to hear about ‘mini-rugby’. Unfortunately he discovered this was not the game he imagined and had some serious explaining to do to the captain.
If you would like to contact Ian whilst he is away, please let his long suffering brother know at stuart.browne@iow.nhs.uk who would be happy to pass on messages of support, good wishes, abuse etc.
